Priming Phase

The Priming Phase is the first stage in the planning of your project. Some items you may have already completed. Utilize this checklist to ensure you are trained, primed, and ready to begin.

1. Complete OER Training.

2. Research OER in your Subject Area.

Search available OER in your subject/topic area.
Request assistance from your library liaison.
Map available OER to your course outline.
- Identify gaps.
- Determine if this project is an adoption, adaptation, or new creation.

3. Schedule an Appointment with the OER Consultant.

Book an appointment with the OER consultant to start planning your project.

4. Speak with your Chair or Supervisor about your Project.

After completing the rest of the steps above, speak to your Chair/Supervisor about your interest in developing OER and receive approval for time.
