APA style was created by the American Psychological Association and currently follows 7th edition. It is used in most programs at Conestoga, and it's traditionally used in disciplines such as business, psychology, sociology, and nursing.
The purpose of APA style is to help you maintain academic integrity and avoid plagiarism in your written work by properly acknowledging all sources used in a paper. APA not only standardizes the way you cite and reference sources, but also how you format a paper.
