A practical guide to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for post-secondary institutions

HESI launched as an open partnership between several United Nations entities and the higher education community and aims to enhance the role of the higher education sector in advancing sustainable development by facilitating multi-stakeholder discussions, actions, and the dissemination of best practices.

These resources are to be used in any business, management courses or modules where innovative thinking is required. The materials include Student and Instructor's guides on collaborative system-design thinking together with an immersive design thinking simulation. The immersive simulation incorporates variety of models and tools supporting students through the stages of system design thinking (emphasize, define ideate, prototype and test) for out of the box prototype creation.

A new guide from the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) that aims to help universities, colleges, and tertiary and higher education institutions implement and mainstream this “Education for the SDGs” within their institutions.

Universities [post-secondary institutions], in particular, are essential to achieving the SDGs because they can equip the next generation with the skills, knowledge, and understanding to address sustainability challenges and opportunities and perform research that advances the sustainable development agenda.
