Getting Started with Pressbooks

What is Pressbooks?

Pressbooks is an online publishing platform built on the WordPress system to help authors make professional-looking webbooks without coding or formatting knowledge.

Conestoga partners with eCampusOntario and Pressbooks in order to facilitate OER creation and sharing.

Features

  • embed video
  • add interactive content like H5P
  • allow students to annotate and interact with the text using the Hypothesis plugin
  • Export to various file formats (PDF, epub, etc)

Clone other Pressbooks, import from another document, or start writing from scratch to get started. When you are finished, it is easy to integrate into your eConestoga course shell.
