We all know that citing and referencing are important, but how do we know what rules to follow?
Style guides provide guidelines around citing and referencing, as well as other writing concerns such as formatting and writing conventions. There are many style guides in existence, and often your discipline of study or work will dictate which style to use. However, students should always ask their faculty which citing and referencing style is expected in their course.
Most programs at Conestoga use APA. We have many resources available through our APA @ Conestoga website.
You can also find resources for other commonly used styles, including IEEE, Chicago, and MLA in Other Citing & Referencing Styles.
