Library locations at the Doon and Downtown Kitchener Campuses are piloting self-serve laptop lending kiosks to enhance and extend access beyond staffed service hours. Kiosk laptop availability is first-come, first-serve and can be borrowed for up to 4 hours. Our laptops have general productivity software and are intended for emergency use, not as a replacement or substitute for your program's recommended device.

Borrowing a Kiosk Laptop

1. Select the "Borrow Laptop" button on the Kiosk's display screen
2. Tap your OneCard on the terminal below the display screen
3. Read the Terms and Conditions page, select the "Agree" button to continue
4. The display screen will indicate which locker to retrieve the laptop from and the indicated locker bay will flash a white light
5. Open the locker door, unplug the laptop from the charge cable
6. Close the locker door and select "Finish" on the display screen
7. You will receive an electronic receipt to your Conestoga email account regarding this transaction and the time you need to return the laptop by

Returning a Kiosk Laptop

1. Select the "Return" button on the Kiosk's display screen
2. Tap your OneCard on the terminal below the display screen
3. The display screen will indicate which locker to return the laptop to and the indicated locker bay will flash a white light
4. Open the locker door, plug the charge cable into the indicated laptop port
5. Close the locker door and select "Finish" on the display screen
6. Failure to return the borrowed laptop accurately and/or on time will result in fines and/or a blocked Library account
