Receiving a Zoom Meeting Invitation

Your professor will send you a meeting invite. Here is what it may look like:

a meeting invite from zoom including date, time and organizer information. The link to the meeting is included in the email that you receive.

Joining a Meeting

Steps to join a Zoom meeting:
  1. Look for your meeting invite. Check your Conestoga email or eConestoga.
  2. Click the "Join Zoom Meeting" link (see image above).
  3. You may be prompted to download and run Zoom. Please do so. Let the file download and click to launch the installer.
  4. If you are early to the meeting, it may say "Please wait for the host to start meeting." 
    • ​​​​Select your audio option (phone or computer audio).
    • If you have time before the meeting starts, you can test your audio from this window.
  5. Once the host starts the meeting, the Zoom app will refresh and you will see the meeting platform. 
  6. Enjoy your meeting!

Joining Meeting Audio by Phone (for Windows/Mac):

  1. After completing the steps above, you have a choice of joining the meeting audio by phone or computer. For phone, click Phone Call.
  2. Follow the instructions provided:
    • Select the country you are calling from.
    • Call one of the numbers provided.
    • Enter the meeting ID followed by #.
    • Enter your participant ID followed by #.
