Review the terms and agreements of Gen AI tools, so you know your rights and responsibilities as an AI tool user. Some AI tools may claim ownership of your outputs!
Do not input any copyright materials into Gen AI unless you have written permission to do so. Copyright materials included assignment instructions, course materials, textbooks, journal articles, etc.
Be explicit about when and how Gen AI was used in your academic work. Keep a record of communication with the Gen AI (prompts used, outputs from the AI tool). Review Gen AI and Writing for how to cite and reference AI tools.
