Students have the right to appeal within five business days if they have sufficient evidence that an academic incident did not occur or an error in the procedure.

If the student responded to you during the investigation (i.e., email or meeting), you can direct the student to start step 2 of the Dispute Resolution and Appeal Procedure.
If the student did not respond to the faculty during the investigation, the student will need to appeal to you within five business days of when they received the academic incident. Your responsibility is to look at the evidence and decide whether to upload the incident or remove the incident.
